We are pleased to announce that Halabja Disabled Organization is now a member of the Iraqi Network (Local Space). After submitting applications by 100 Iraqi organizations to become members of this network, Halabja Disabled Organization is now one of the 15 organizations selected to become members of this network.
The network is sponsored by DCA
With the support of several international organizations including (Save the Children, Trocaire, Humanitarian Leadership Academy, CAFOD).
The Local Space Network currently exists in six countries and aims to strengthen the capacity of local organizations to reach an international level through a long-term plan.

Date: 29 July 2025
Today, the Halabja Disabled Organization awarded certificates of participation to the beneficiaries of the project “Empowerment of Women with Disabilities through Smart Poultry Farming.”
The ceremony was held in the presence of Mrs. Nuxsha Naseh, Governor of Halabja, and Mr. Faryad Najmaden, Director of the Migration and Crisis Response.
This project was implemented with the support of the Australian Embassy in Iraq, as part of the Direct Assistance Program, and aimed to support a number of women with disabilities in the region.
In her speech, the Governor expressed his appreciation to the Halabja Disabled Organization and the Australian Embassy for their efforts. She commended the resilience and determination of the women beneficiaries and emphasized her continued support for initiatives that empower women with disabilities. She also pledged to coordinate further efforts to ensure the sustainability and expansion of such impactful projects in Halabja Province.
Finally, we would like to thank Mrs. Nukhsha Naseh, Governor of Halabja and Mr. Faryad Najmaden, Director of Migration and Refugees Directorate, who have always been supportive of Halabja Disabled Organization for our work
